The Sun Ballast mounting systems for photovoltaic panels have represented since 2012 the simplest solution for the installation of PV systems on flat roofs, and are now used by thousands of industry professionals. The weights for photovoltaics –
certified ETN, ISO, and UL2703 –
do not require any fastening to the building's roof and provide the panels with an extremely high wind resistance. The system of
63 kW visible in the photo was installed in France on a gravel roof using
the Connect 15° system: the lattice structure of this system – where each row is structurally connected to the previous and the next – allows not only for the distribution of loads across the entire network of concrete weights, avoiding overloading the roof, but also guarantees the modules
maximum resistance to atmospheric stresses. The photovoltaic structures that make up the Connect system are available in a wide range of inclinations
from 5° to 30°, can be used on any type of flat surface, and already contain
M8 threaded bushings for fastening the brackets.
