This photovoltaic system of
20 kW was built in Sardinia using
Sun Ballast photovoltaic structures, and thanks to the
East-West 15° system, not only was the installation simple and quick, but the area dedicated to the system was maximized. The Sun Ballast photovoltaic ballast weights are simply placed on the roofs of buildings, without making
any drilling, and can be applied on any material, such as
membrane, pavements, green roofs, and gravel. The positioning of the concrete ballasts in opposing rows with an East-West orientation also helps to
minimize shading and – consequently – the distance between rows of panels, optimizing the available surfaces. The East-West ballasted systems are modular (based on project needs) with numerous models of photovoltaic structures, and can be made with inclinations from
3° to 30°. Like all Sun Ballast weights, those that make up these systems also already feature
M8 threaded bushings for securing the brackets and a metal extra-reinforcement bar.
