The Sun Ballast Sail System has been designed to make the most of the spaces dedicated to the installation of photovoltaic systems on flat roofs, including small spaces on residential buildings: the system allows for the rows of modules to be placed
consecutively, eliminating the distance between them and optimizing all available surfaces. Like all
Sun Ballast concrete ballast, those that make up this system also guarantee high wind resistance without requiring
any fixing holes in the roof, and can be used with modules of any size, even large panels over 2 meters in length. In this
6 kW installation carried out in Palermo, an additional
No-Flex kit was also added to the last row of ballasts (most exposed to disturbances): this accessory, consisting of an additional photovoltaic ballast and a special metal bracket, allows the panels to be fixed even in the central part, offering six support points, complying with all fixing parameters and
eliminating the risk of bending. The Sail System is available with inclinations of 5° and 10°, allowing for
up to 6 and 3 consecutive rows, respectively. Like all Sun Ballast photovoltaic ballasts, those used for this system already contain
M8 fixing bushings inside, and can be installed on flat surfaces of any material (membrane, gravel, paving, etc.).
