In the photovoltaic sector, one of the most valuable elements is space: the type and extent of the surfaces dedicated to PV systems indeed influence a good part of the decisions made during the design phase, and Sun Ballast solutions have been developed to offer not only maximum
simplicity but also to make the best use of all available spaces, even the smallest ones. The system visible in the photo was installed by our client Tecnomax on a small flat gravel roof, and the
Vela system 5° from Sun Ballast allowed for installation with great
ease, reducing installation times by over 30% and maximizing the entire surface area. In this configuration, the rows of panels are indeed positioned consecutively next to each other, varying the height of each row and reducing the distances between the panels to zero. The gravel also posed no problem: Sun Ballast weights can be placed
quickly on any type of roof, and – even in the case of gravel – installation requires no prior preparation. Available with inclinations of 5° and 11°, the Vela system allows even the most limited surfaces to be
useful and highly productive, ensuring the panels achieve the best performance and the highest level of
resistance to weather conditions.
