As an employee involved in the implementation of thousands of photovoltaic installations worldwide, the Connect System from Sun Ballast offers installers and planners a simple, robust, and quick-to-install solution, which is ideal when the goal is to ensure high stability for photovoltaic modules without overloading the building's roof. In this system, each ballast for photovoltaic modules is connected to all other structures in a single grid: the loads are therefore perfectly balanced, the ballasts can be lighter, and wind resistance is guaranteed, even in extreme weather conditions. Like all Sun Ballast structures for photovoltaic modules, those of the Connect System do not require fixing holes, and installation is straightforward and quick, even on gravel roofs, as seen in the photo. The ballasts can be placed directly on the gravel or on the underlying membrane; in any case, the Connect System ensures that the modules exhibit extremely high stability. The 10 kW version used in this system is the 10° V, a special version that allows the modules to be fixed in a vertical position. To further increase stability, our client Tecnoesse Impianti has also added some U-Block: these additional weights are placed in minutes directly on the concrete ballasts, allowing for easy adjustment of the load according to installation needs.
