Optimized available space, high wind resistance, and maximum efficiency level: the
Vela system by Sun Ballast represents a simple and effective solution, ideal for both small photovoltaic systems installed on terraces and residential buildings, as well as large systems installed on the roofs of industrial warehouses and commercial establishments. In the Vela system, the height of the ballasts varies with each row: this way, they can be placed next to each other, eliminating the distance between rows and any type of shading. This allows all spaces to be utilized extremely efficiently, and the overall performance of the photovoltaic system is
optimized. The system installed in Alpignano (TO) by our client Sottotensione has indeed easily reached
93 kWp of power, and the Vela system by Sun Ballast – here in the version with 11° inclination – has allowed for easy and quick management of the particular shape of the roof: the support structures were positioned on the flat surfaces present between the metal arches, and by placing three consecutive rows of panels (in the 5° version, it is possible to position up to 6 consecutive) it was possible to place the maximum number of photovoltaic modules. The integration with the
Cablowind system has then allowed for maximizing load resistance as well: usable in combination with classic U-shaped supplementary weights, Cablowind further improves the stability of the system, balancing the weight distribution across the entire surface and ensuring
maximum stability under all conditions.
