SMV Energy Ltd., this photovoltaic system on a flat roof was installed on the gravel covering of a residential building, and thanks to the Sun Ballast photovoltaic structure, the installation operations were completed in a
simple, fast, and professional manner. The ballast for photovoltaic panels does not require any anchoring to the covering and is compatible with any material: in this case, the placement of the concrete ballasts was carried out on a gravel covering, and the ballasts were placed directly on the layer of gravel, minimizing installation time and costs. The PV system visible in the photo has reached a
20 kW power output and was built with the structures of the
East-West 11.3° system: the ballasts for photovoltaics were arranged in opposing rows with two different orientations, minimizing the distance between the modules and ensuring a
high wind resistance. The use of Sun Ballast structures also allows for free adjustment of the length and distance between the rows of panels, easily managing all obstacles present on the roof of the building. The ballasts of the
East-West system are also available with
different heights from the surface: this way, it is possible to also modulate the distance between the panels and the covering, offering designers and installers great versatility of use.
