One of the main features behind the simplicity of Sun Ballast solutions is undoubtedly their great flexibility: the support structures easily adapt to any type of flat surface, allowing for a reduction in installation time of over 70%. However, flexibility is not only about the systems: the accessories – often used to further enhance the quality of the photovoltaic system and its overall stability – ensure maximum ease of use and have been developed to be integrated with all Sun Ballast systems. In this small installation of 6 kWp carried out in the province of Avellino by our client Se.R.I. Energineering, the Standard system 10° – a decidedly simple and versatile solution – has been made even more robust thanks to the addition of Cablowind and U-shaped supplementary weights: while these allow for strengthening the system at specific points, the Cablowind system enables the distribution of loads over a larger area, improving the stability of the PV system and its resistance to all weather phenomena. For both, the assembly is also extremely simple: the aluminum guides of the Cablowind system are indeed fixed to the already existing bushings on the ballasts; the structure is then positioned inside without requiring any additional fastening. The U-shaped supplementary weights are also simply placed and can be applied both on Cablowind and directly on the ballasts.
