Installed in the south of France by our client Provence Eco Energia, this photovoltaic system was built on a flat roof over a large layer of gravel, and thanks to the East-West System with 5° from Sun Ballast, the installation was carried out in a easy, quick, and professional manner. Without needing fixing holes, the structures for the Sun Ballast photovoltaic modules quickly rest on any type of surface (gravel, concrete, paving stones, membranes, etc.), reducing installation times and facilitating all assembly phases. The system visible in the photo generates more than 186 kWp of clean energy and – to optimize all the space dedicated to the installation – the East-West system was chosen: This system is modular with a wide range of weights for the photovoltaics (from 3° to 30°) and is achieved by positioning the weights in opposite pairs. In addition to increasing solar exposure hours and the level of resistance to weather conditions, the dual orientation of the photovoltaic modules allows the rows to be placed side by side, eliminating the distances between the modules and effectively optimizing the roof surface.
