Designed to make the most of all available surfaces, the
sail system by Sun Ballast offers a
simple, versatile, and quick mounting solution, ideal when the goal is to generate electricity while minimizing the space used. The mounting system for photovoltaic panels on flat roofs in the sail configuration is indeed composed of various structures for photovoltaics, each with an increasing height: this way, it is possible to place the rows of modules next to each other, forming a true “
sail” and reducing the distance between the panels to
zero. Depending on specific needs, the concrete ballast that makes up this system can also be positioned in single rows,
freely modulating the distance between them and selecting the most suitable height for the type of roof. Available in two different versions, the 10° sail system allows for the placement of up to three consecutive rows of panels, while with the 5° inclination model – used for this installation – the rows increase to six. The PV system of
9 kW visible in the photo was realized in the Marche region by our client Millenergie S.r.l., and the flooring present on the roof did not create any problems: Sun Ballast ballasts do not require
any anchoring holes, and the installation is done in a
easy, quick, and safe manner even on the most delicate materials.
