The Sun Ballast weights perfectly adapt to a multitude of different characteristics of the roof. Resistant to wind actions, easy to handle and made in various shapes and sizes to meet the specific needs of the panel, the roof, and the installation area. The panels used for the construction of this system, which are longer than usual, required a support larger than the standard sizes. After careful evaluation by the Sun Ballast technical office and in agreement with our client Instech Nord, it was decided to use the weights from the Standard system type 10°L, which are significantly larger than the classic weight of the Standard system. The installation, as can be seen from the photos, was placed on a pavement; the Sun Ballast weights are ideal for installations on this type of surface precisely because they do not need to be fixed to the supporting roof, thus avoiding damage and potential leaks that could lead to unpleasant water infiltrations. To further protect the roof, it was also decided to use the appropriate protection sleeves.
