Five condominiums with flat roofs covered by
photovoltaic systems are the recipients of this project, which features
reliability, durability, and ease of installation of the Sun Ballast weights chosen by our client Hassler Energia Alternativa AG to carry out this important project capable of producing
149.6 kWp of renewable energy. Given the height at which the systems were installed, particularly exposed to the wind, the
East-West structures were selected, which, due to their type of exposure, prevent the sail effect of the photovoltaic panel, making it particularly resistant to the effects of the wind. Furthermore, this type of structure, thanks to its dual exposure, can capture solar energy throughout the day and not just during the hottest hours, thus optimizing the system's performance with a constant energy production throughout the day.
The chosen inclination was 5°, and the weights were connected using junction plates, resulting in further improving the stability of the system and making it
efficient from all points of view.
