The concrete ballast of the
Vela Systems from Sun Ballast has been designed to maximize areas for photovoltaic installations and can be used without issues on
all types of surfaces, even on
ground. The Vela system consists of different ballasts for photovoltaics, each with a
different height above the ground: this way, the rows of modules are arranged in such a way that they form true “
sails”, reducing the distance between the rows to zero and managing shade more efficiently. The structures for photovoltaics of this system can also be positioned in
individual rows, which offers an optimal solution when, for example, a certain distance between the module and the support surface (e.g., green roofs) must be maintained. Like all ballasts from Sun Ballast, those used in this ground photovoltaic system already include the
M8 fastening boxes, making the module installation even faster and safer. The Vela system is available with two different inclinations: with a 10° inclination (visible in the photo), up to three consecutive rows of modules can be arranged, while in the version with a 5° inclination, the rows increase to six. This
24 kW system was created by our client
G2SUN SAS in
Grimaud (France), and thanks to the photovoltaic ballasts from Sun Ballast, installation time was minimized, avoiding any anchoring work and ensuring the highest level of reliability.
