Built in the port of La Spezia by our client Fim Solution, this photovoltaic system of
50 kW was installed with Sun Ballast photovoltaic structures, maximizing the
flexibility of the concrete ballasts. The structures
Mono-XL 10° – designed to secure large panels at 4 points along the long side – were indeed positioned next to each other with a
East-West orientation, making the most of all the available space on the flat roof. The ballasts for photovoltaic panels allow for a
free configuration of the system based on the characteristics of the building, and not requiring
any anchoring holes, they can be quickly placed and moved to any point on the roof. In this system, the use of large panels required a specific solution, and the Mono-XL ballasts – sized to support modules longer than 2m – ensured the
highest level of safety and resistance to weather agents. The East-West orientation also ensured a
high yield, increasing the number of hours of irradiation and distributing energy production throughout the day.
