If the goal is to ensure that photovoltaic installations on flat roofs have the
maximum resistance to weather conditions, the
Connect System from Sun Ballast is the ideal solution: The connection of each ballast for photovoltaics in a single grid allows for the use of lighter structures, reducing both the loads on the roof and transportation costs, while ensuring an
extremely high wind resistance. The special configuration of the grid also allows for a perfectly balanced load distribution, while the
absence of fixing holes guarantees an easy and quick installation on all types of flat surfaces. The system visible in the photo, with almost
7 kW, was built in France by our client
Etera, and the presence of a section with vegetation posed no problem: The ballasts for photovoltaics of the
Connect 15° system were simply placed over the layer of vegetation, which simplified all installation phases and ensured that the photovoltaic modules maintained a high resistance to all weather demands. Thanks to the
M8 nuts that are pre-installed in the structure, the fixing of the photovoltaic module is also very quick, and the wide range of tilt angles available for the Connect System (from
5° to 30°) allows for selecting the most suitable ballast model for the specific requirements of the system.
