Developed to ensure maximum resistance to all weather events, the Connect System from Sun Ballast represents a simple and lightweight solution: the concrete ballasts are connected in a single grid, and the load distribution is perfectly balanced across the roof. This special configuration allows for the use of even lighter structures, reducing both the weight on the building and the total transportation costs. The photovoltaic system visible in the photo, with 52 kWp, was installed by our client Energiapartner on a large building in Tallinn (Estonia) using the Connect 15° system: the absence of fixing holes made the installation phases much simpler and faster, and the connection of the ballasts in a single network of structures provided maximum resistance and stability. The Connect System is available in a wide range of inclinations, from 5° to 30°, and is compatible with both the No-Flex System (for large panels) and the additional weights “U-Block”. The latter were placed directly on the perimeter ballasts, further reinforcing the stability of the structures and ensuring maximum stability even in the most wind-exposed areas.
