This small photovoltaic system of
4.5 kWp was created by
Energia e Ambiente Srls on a flat roof in
Sinnai (CA) using Sun Ballast structures for the photovoltaic modules. The concrete ballasts offer
many advantages, starting with their
simplicity: the installation
does not require drilling into the roof, the
M8 nuts are already pre-installed in the structure, and the installation is simple and quick on any type of flat surface. The
Monofila 10° system also allows for free placement of the ballasts, with the ability to adjust both the length of the rows and the distance between them without restrictions. A great advantage that simplifies installations even on roofs with many obstacles (chimneys, fans, skylights, etc.). The ballasts for photovoltaics of the Monofila 10° system also allow for the modules to be fixed in both vertical and horizontal formats, giving designers and installers the option to choose the most suitable type of fastening according to the characteristics of the system and the building. The
stability and wind resistance were finally ensured by integrating the ballasts with the
Cablowind system, which is visible on the back of the structures: in this case, the installation was also possible without drilling, and the metal guides, on which the concrete channel was placed, were fixed directly to the already existing nuts on the back of the ballasts. Cablowind can be used both as
additional weight and as a
cable channel for electrical connections and has further reinforced the stability of the system, offering the end customer the
maximum level of reliability and safety.
