For the installation of a photovoltaic system on a
flat roof covered with membrane and with scattered obstacles, the ballast systems from Sun Ballast were the ideal choice. The selected system, in this case, is the
Connect system with a 10° inclination: a large grid of interconnected concrete ballasts, consisting of a front ballast, a central ballast, and a terminal ballast that, due to their arrangement, make this system
solid and very resistant to wind. Additionally, another great advantage of the Connect system is that it has a very limited
load on the roof as it distributes the weight evenly across the entire surface, and furthermore, the membrane covering also benefits from this, because the Sun Ballast photovoltaic module supports
do not require holes in the roof to be fixed, so the protective and waterproof characteristics of the membrane are not compromised. Sun Ballast systems are easy and quick to install, and this is how our client Colarossi Impianti S.r.l. managed to create a photovoltaic system capable of producing up to
6 kWp of clean energy in a short time and with ease.
