The ballast of the
Vela system by Sun Ballast with a 5° inclination was chosen by our Technical Office during the design phase for the implementation of a photovoltaic system on a small flat roof with
very limited space. The main characteristic of this system is that there is no space between the rows, which is why the panels are mounted consecutively, making it the best solution in case of limited space while still meeting the need to achieve maximum power levels. Its main advantage is indeed the combination of:
space optimization and maximum efficiency. However, this is not its only advantage; even though the system can consist of a maximum of 3 or 6 consecutive rows, if there are obstacles on the roof such as skylights, chimneys, or for potential maintenance, the
system is modular, allowing for the removal of any panels if necessary. Before placing the ballasts on the waterproofing membrane, it is possible to position the protective membranes provided to protect the surface and maintain the waterproofing properties of the membrane. Thanks to Sun Ballast, our client BS AUTOMAZIONI SNC has managed to implement a photovoltaic system of
5kwp of renewable energy.
