Small photovoltaic systems installed on the buildings of urban centers represent an increasingly decisive resource: residential roofs and terraces often cover limited surfaces, but by multiplying them by the thousands (or millions) of houses present in cities, the overall area reached is truly remarkable. For this reason, the ecological transition also involves the efficiency of urban centers, starting from progressive energy independence: Sun Ballast structures contribute to achieving this important goal, and the solutions developed over more than ten years of experience in the sector ensure photovoltaic system installers a simple and quick installation on any
type of flat surface, even on tiled roofs and terraces like the one visible in the photo. This system of
3.4 kWp was installed in Mesagne – in the province of Brindisi – by Bell Fix Plus: the
Standard system 10° provided by Sun Ballast allowed for great ease in adjusting the distance between the two rows of panels, and since the ballasts are simply placed, they kept the flooring perfectly intact. To optimize the space dedicated to the system, the panels were also fixed vertically, and the support structures ensured the
maximum level of wind resistance, stability, and efficiency.
