Photovoltaic systems on the flat roofs of industrial warehouses are very beautiful and highly productive, but before selecting the best structure to use, it is advisable to carry out careful sizing and feasibility calculations. Our Technical Office and Sun Ballast take care of these calculations with precision and reliability. Thanks to the many solutions that Sun Ballast offers, it also has one that perfectly adapts to industrial roofs: the Connect system. This system, due to its particular configuration, forms a grid of interconnected concrete weights, consisting of a front weight, a central weight, and a terminal weight that closes the rows of panels. Due to its arrangement, it has a high wind resistance that reaches values even exceeding 150 km/h and keeps the loads on the roof limited thanks to the uniform distribution of weight across the entire surface. The advantages of the Connect system convinced our client Voltania Sarl to use it for the installation of a photovoltaic system in France on an industrial warehouse; the client also used our pads to support the weights, which are useful for protecting the surface and maintaining the properties of the roof. The result is a formidable photovoltaic system capable of producing up to 99.36 Kwp of renewable energy.
