Developed to maximize the management of available surfaces, the
Vela system by Sun Ballast represents a
flexible and fast solution to install, ideal when the goal is to make even small spaces useful and productive. This mounting system for photovoltaic panels on flat roofs, the Vela system, is indeed composed of structures for photovoltaics with
different heights: in this way, the rows of modules can be placed next to each other, eliminating the distance between them and
avoiding shading. Depending on the characteristics of the covering, the ballast for photovoltaics that make up the system can also be used for the positioning of single rows, adjusting the distance between them and selecting the height most suitable for the needs of the installation. The
17 kW system visible in the photo was installed in Bergamo by Chiesa Impianti using the 5° Vela system, and to ensure maximum resistance, two different accessories were added:
Cablowind and U-Block. The latter are available in 15 and 30Kg versions and are placed directly on the ballasts, quickly increasing the
resistance of the structure. In addition to the function of additional weight, Cablowind also allows for the accommodation of electrical cables inside it, and the metal guide in which the concrete channel is inserted quickly attaches to the
pre-inserted bushings on the back of the ballasts.
